Sample Plot and Project Data Analysis Support Officer

Part of Marc’s role is to look after and maintain the Sample Plot database. Forest Research has an extensive Sample Plot network with data going back over 100 years. His role is to manage the data, check for errors and provide data to statisticians and modellers to help them with their work. He also provides data management, analysis and processing support to members of the FMMF group with projects they are working on.

Marc has worked for Forest Research for 15 years in various roles, majoring in data capture and management and he has been in his current position for 5 years within the Forest Mensuration, Modelling and Forecasting Science Group.
