What Anthony does

Anthony joined Forest Research in 2023 to deliver the DEFRA Nature For Climate-funded Climate-Ready Greenspaces project, aimed at updating existing guidance on climate change adaptation measures for tree planting and management on vacant and derelict land.

This project will:

  • Identify priority topics relating to climate-change risks to woodlands on vacant and derelict land, through practitioner engagement workshops
  • Collate and update existing management guidance based on these priority topics and include consideration for adaptation measures for a future climate
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange and roadmap relevant resources to support practitioners planning to plant or manage climate-resilient woodlands on vacant and derelict land
