This event is aimed at plant nursery staff and will focus on providing solutions for the continual improvement of plant health and biosecurity on the nursery.

Forest Research scientists, supported by RHS colleagues, will demonstrate the scientific evidence underpinning nursery best practice based on recent research studies of Phytophthora pathogens in nurseries across the UK and overseas.

  4. Why organic waste can be a risk to your business and solutions for waste management.
  5. The importance of knowing what is in your growing media and avoiding risky practices.

In the afternoon there will be plenty of opportunity for additional discussion as attendees tour RBGE gardens and nursery and staff demonstrate the steps they are taking to improve their nursery management.

The event will round-off at 15.30 with refreshments, final discussion and closing remarks and finish by 16.00.
