Hannah is an interdisciplinary and mixed-methods researcher with a background in wildfire management. In her MSc and PhD research at King’s College London, she used a range of qualitative and participatory research techniques alongside GIS and remote sensing to explore the interactions between fire, community and indigenous knowledge, and biodiversity conservation in protected areas.
Most of her current work at Forest Research continues to focus on wildfires.
Key interests:
Hannah is a Social Scientist in the Social and Economic Research Group (SERG). Most of her work relates to forest disturbance – particularly wildfires, pests and diseases, and hazard risk perception. She joined forest research in January 2023.
