The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) collects global data on forest resources every 5 years. Forest Research provide a return to the UN on figures for the UK.
Further information on the Forest Resources Assessment, including details of terms and definitions used, and results for all countries are available at the FAO website.
This will be the last release of Forest Resources Assessment by Forest Research. Forest Research will continue to provide this return to the FAO so future (and past) copies of the UK forecasts can be found at the FAO Stat website.
