UK softwood exports in 2017 consisted of 124 thousand green tonnes of industrial roundwood (excluding sawlogs) and 207 thousand green tonnes of sawlogs, giving a total of 331 thousand green tonnes of roundwood (Table 2.27). The quantity of softwood roundwood exports increased by 43% between 2016 and 2017.
The UK also exported 92 thousand tonnes of softwood chips in 2017, an 82% increase from the previous year.
