Rosie is a senior project manager at Forest Research. She is currently managing a Defra-funded project to develop a Woodland Water Code. The project aims to develop a Woodland Water Code to enable the benefits of woodland creation for water to be quantified, and to support private investment. Rosie is working closely with the Woodland Carbon Code team and is exploring options for stacking water credits with other ecosystem benefits, primarily carbon.
Prior to joining Forest Research in May 2023, Rosie worked for seven years in greenhouse gas and air pollution emission monitoring and reporting. She developed and implemented measurement, verification and reporting (MRV) systems for climate data in numerous countries across Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. She is still active in her role as a land use, land use change and forestry expert on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Roster of Experts.
