Based within the Climate Change Research Group, Kirstin helps improve accessibility of information on key topics related to climate change including practical guidance on adaptive practice. She is responsible for managing and developing the Climate Change Hub, which provides distilled information and guidance on climate change risks and adaptation measures and is aimed at encouraging changes in UK forestry practice and management to address climate change threats.
Kirstin joined Forest Research as Climate Change Hub Project Manager in 2022 with a background in marketing, including nine years in local government and most recently as Head of Marketing for a hydroponic living wall specialist. Her multi-sector experience includes delivery of digital, brand repositioning and brand identity projects, campaign coordination and partnership working with stakeholders.
She gained the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (Level 7) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and BA (Hons) in Combined Arts from the University of Liverpool, where she studied Psychology and French. Kirstin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and volunteers as a CIM mentor.
