Greg joined the Society and Environment Research Group (SERG) in November 2023, he works primarily on social dimensions of wildlife management and reintroductions. He is a mixed-methods researcher employing both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Prior to joining Forest Research, Greg worked for Chester Zoo, where he conducted research into human dimensions of wildlife conservation. Most recently he worked on human behaviour change projects seeking to understand and reduce instances of human-carnivore conflict in Latin America and India. He is also experienced in intervention evaluation having spent several years researching the efficacy of conservation education programmes in the UK and community-based forest conservation in Madagascar and the Mascarenes. Through his experiences working in applied conservation Greg has developed a pragmatic approach to both research and practise. Greg obtained an MSc in Ecology and Conservation from Imperial College London in 2016, and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Manchester in 2013.
