My research is focussed on answering policy-relevant questions. In particular surrounding the management of wildlife within economically important landscapes such forestry and farming.

I conduct extensive fieldwork using camera traps and tracking collars to understand animal behaviour.

Feral wild boar and deer in the Forest of Dean Public Forest Estate

The deer and wild boar populations in the Forest of Dean are monitored annually to help inform the public and support the management programme. In this report, we provide results up to and including the latest survey, which was carried out in March 2025.
