Through a series of nine case studies, we explored the motivations, objectives, and experiences of a range of woodland creators who have used various types of green finance (environmentally targeted sustainable finance) to help fund woodland creation projects.
Our Research Report draws on these case studies and an additional set of eight expert interviews to summarise key issues land managers must navigate when considering, pursuing, and working with green finance. It outlines the barriers land managers may face to using green finance and the opportunities green finance may offer them. While the report can be read alone, it only provides a high level overview. Richer insights can be found in the individual case studies. The case studies can also be read individually.
