In this role you will support several Defra funded research projects, including on the effects of agroforestry, understanding soil natural capital and assessing soil health.

In the role of Procurement Manager, the postholder will have the opportunity to be part of a very small team delivering this specialist function with the opportunity to understand and interact with a variety of different functional and science-based teams across Forest Research

The purpose of the role is to provide the expertise and operational management and support to ensure high quality data acquisition throughout our experimental wood research work, from testing in forests through to wood processing and timber testing in a lab.
