In this role, you will undertake research across the group but will have a particular emphasis on the forest disturbances theme, which includes consideration of the social dimensions of storms, floods and wildfire as well as tree health.

This role sits within the Inventory, Forecasting and Operational Support (IFOS) group who provide a range of mapping and spatial data services to stakeholders and customers. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the production and continual revision of highly accurate geospatial datasets.

The Senior Communications Manager role focuses on the strategy, planning, coordination and evaluation of science communication to key external audiences, including partners, policy makers and forestry practitioners, working across a broad range of Forest Research programmes.
