Summary

Thomas Farrugia, will provide an overview of the insect farming sector, with a focus on "insects for feed", outlining its development, current stage of development and how the sector is evolving - both globally, and within the UK, with a focus on Scotland's ambitions as well.

Talks last 40 - 45 minutes with 15-20 minutes for questions and discussion. Please join promptly at 14:00.

Under normal circumstances seminars are held once a month on Friday afternoons from September to May at Forest Research’s Northern Research Station (NRS), just outside Edinburgh. However, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the forthcoming series (2020/21) will be presented online via Microsoft Teams. We welcome participation from external organisations and individuals, so please feel free to advertise this talk and to forward the invite to others.
