NRS Forest science seminar: Global insect declines?

Summary

The decline of insect biodiversity has received a lot of attention in recent years, but much remains unknown regarding the variability in trends among sites and taxa. Roel will present the newest results of his ongoing work on a database of insect time series, and show contrasting trends. This presents not only an interesting puzzle, but also worry and hope.

Under normal circumstances seminars are held once a month on Friday afternoons from September to May at Forest Research’s Northern Research Station (NRS), just outside Edinburgh. However, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the forthcoming series (2020/21) will be presented online via Microsoft Teams. We welcome participation from external organisations and individuals, so please feel free to advertise this talk and to forward the invite to others.
