Hosted virtually by the Faculty of Forestry, University of British Columbia, Canada, the 20th Commonwealth Forestry Conference will bring together speakers from more than 35 countries to discuss topics as wide ranging as conservation, technology and innovation, building with wood, livelihoods, wildfires and climate change, wildlife and carbon sequestration and forest policy.

Key note speakers include Prof. Chris Quine, Chief Scientist at Forest Research, who will discuss ‘Exchanging knowledge: reflections on improving communication’. Drawing on recent studies Prof. Quine will illustrate the importance of knowledge exchange, particularly in the light of the multiple challenges now faced by forests, and discuss how interactions between researchers and practitioners might be improved.
