An Infrastructure Specialist role, which will support the Technical Security Specialist. Managing the ongoing and efficient operation & development of both technical infrastructure and business systems.
This post will be part of the Forest Research (FR) Information Technology Team. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Security Specialist in their capacity as Infrastructure Lead.
This is an exciting time to join the team as our IT services and underlying infrastructure develops and matures, resulting in the requirement for additional support.
High quality, secure Information Technology services are essential to ensure FR meets its corporate targets, while also providing our researchers with an environment that is flexible enough to support their work. To enable this, the FR Information Technology (IT) team has been created to provide a focal point for FR’s IT requirements and also to liaise closely with the business. The FR IT team supports the continued development of IT services within the business; to enhance the working environment, optimise the use and delivery of knowledge and ultimately enhance the service we provide to our customers.
The Infrastructure Specialist role will be based at either the Northern Research Station, Roslin or Alice Holt Lodge, Farnham. Blended working gives you the option to work some of the week from home, and some from the workplace. See further details about our locations via this link.
