A Facilities Engineer role at Forest Research (FR), working to support the safe and compliant operation and maintenance of our laboratories, buildings, infrastructure and surrounding environs.
The current Facilities team is expanding to support the ongoing management of the Alice Holt Research Campus along with a challenging and exciting programme of ongoing investment.
This new role of Facilities Engineer will report to the Alice Holt Facilities Manager and is part of a small team maintaining an effective and efficient estate portfolio to support the needs of the corporate and scientific business functions, ensuring all buildings and scientific infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.
The Facilities Engineer will support the safe and compliant operation of our laboratories, buildings, infrastructure and surrounding environs, ensuring they are adequately maintained in accordance with the required standards. The role will cover both reactive and pre planned maintenance tasks as well as health and safety compliance checks with accurate record keeping. The successful postholder will also help to plan and manage an ongoing multi-million-pound capital investment programme.
