Based in Biometrics Division, the GIS Unit has been established to provide a first point of contact for all Forest Research GIS enquiries.

Services

General Advice & Support

Advice to existing users

          Advise on methodology/use of extensions etc.

          Assist with locating and accessing datasets

          Advise on training options

 Advice to new users  

         Set up/install GIS software

         Provide basic training

         Act as a helpdesk

Licence Administration

         Co-ordination of licence purchasing

         Advise on type of licence required

         Manage concurrent server licences

GIS Support

         Offer GIS analysis/mapping services to external customers

         Provide GIS database advice & support
