By road

From A74 South

• Exit junction  Gretna
• Take A75 to Dumfries
• Take A701 towards Edinburgh and Glasgow for 8 miles
• Turn to left at sign Forest of Ae and follow road for 2.5 miles
• Pass Ae Village on the left and turn immediately right down to the Forestry Commission Ae complex
• Technical Development is the first office on the left as you enter the complex.

Alternative exit from the south is from A74 Junction 18 at Lockerbie and follow the A709 to Dumfries then follow directions to A701 Edinburgh/Glasgow.

From A74 north

• Exit junction 15 for Dumfries and Moffat
• Follow A701 to Dumfries for  miles
• Turn right at sign Forest of Ae and follow road for 2.5 miles
• Pass Ae Village on the left and turn immediately right down to the Forestry Commission Ae complex
• Technical Development is the first office on the left as you enter the complex.

By public transport

The nearest rail link is to Dumfries.
