The pathologists within Forest Research have extensive experience in designing and executing disease and damage surveys.
Examples include:
- Survey of the incidence of Phytophthora disease in riparian population of common alder (alnus glutinosa)
- Study of shoot growth in woodland beech in southern England conducted in relation to possible air pollution effects
- Survey of the effect of de-icing salt on roadside trees in London after the 1990/91 winter
- Condition survey of non-woodland amenity trees.
