Forestry Commission Wales and Forest Research are holding two one-day Forest Health seminars looking at some of the pests and diseases affecting trees and woodlands in Wales.
The first seminar will be held in Clawdd Newydd Village Hall, near Ruthin, on Wednesday, 3 September, with the second taking place the following day in Henderson Hall, Talybont on Usk, in south Wales. Both seminars will start at 10am and will include an indoor session and a short field trip.
Among the issues to be debated are climate change and what effect it will have on pests and diseases, needle diseases of pine and latest insect updates. There will also be a surgery session where delegates can bring their own pest and disease problems for the experts to debate.
