The Woodfuel Supply Chain - Sharing experience

14th to 19th September 2008

What was the event?

This workshop presented shared experience of the development of the woodfuel supply chain in England and elsewhere, problems overcome, milestones achieved and hurdles yet to be overcome. It provided an opportunity to exchange information and discuss sustainable management, production and use of forest biomass for energy as an integral part of resource management for multiple benefits.

As part of the conference a field tour was held to see examples of operational biomass production in England.

The conclusion of the event featured an industry consultation event and a chance to visit the leading forestry show in Great Britain, the 2008 APF demonstration.
