Rebecca joined Forest Research in February 2008, after working as an ecologist on protected species in Kent. Previous to this Rebecca has carried out research on an array of wildlife in Borneo, Tanzania and Australia. She studied Zoology at Royal Holloway, University of London and completed her Masters in Ecology, specialising in orangutan population density, at Bangor University.

Project Officer, Ecology Division

Researching red deer performance and health across Scotland.

Current programmes

  • Impacts of large herbivores on woodlands
    Developing and testing a robust monitoring system designed to detect how the performance and health of deer populations respond to climate and land use changes.
