Barnes Wood regenerated after Great Storm of 1987

Decaying stumps of larch are still evident.

  • Current trees: Birch with some sweet chestnut and hornbeam coppice.
  • Groundflora: Predominantly bramble, but broad buckler fern, bracken, bluebell  and woodsage frequent.
