Forest soil research at Alice Holt forest
South East England Soils Discussion Group (SEESOIL) spring meeting 5th June 2007 What was the event?Bringing together soil scientists from the south-east of England on a day meeting to share experience and discuss soil issues. The aim of this meeting was to visit Forest Research experiments and research sites at Alice Holt forest. These included a visit to the Straits Enclosure, Environmental Change Network, Level II Long term forest monitoring, open soil pits with typical soils for the area and also Climate change and soil carbon research carried out in the same area. Forest soil sustainability, soil monitoring and soil survey was the primarily focus of the discussion. Papers presented at the meeting (PDF-1577K)
