Modelling from Plant Wall to Plank
Cell wall macromolecules and reaction wood (CEMARE) workshop 19-20th April 2007 What was the event? The workshop was based around the question: “How do we use models at different scales to help understand the behaviour of timber containing reaction wood?” The workshop started with two plenary addresses to set the scene and the rest of the workshop developed from our decision on how we tried to answer the above question. In the group sessions participants were encouraged to present their own work and to discuss how it might help answer our question. At the end we pull everything together and map a direction for future work, links and collaboration. This will be used to form the basis of a short report following the conclusion of the workshop.
