Ecological Site Classification Survey in Dornoch Forest District
 Technical Services Unit (TSU) from Newton field station carried out a complete Ecological Site Classification (ESC) survey on a 6000 ha plantation in Dornoch Forest District.
The aim of this survey was to assist Forestry Commission staff in identifying areas suitable for conversion to Continuous Cover management. Raw data collected in the field was converted and input directly to the Forest District’s GIS database.
