National School of Forestry Seminar Series 2006/7
What was the event?The aim of this seminar series was to disseminate information on a broad range of current environmental issues that are relevant to students and those researching or working in forestry, animal conservation and environmental management. There were four seminars presented by staff from Forest Research in the spring session: - Habitat networks, principles, modelling process and applications
8th February 2007 Darren Moseley, Ecology Division - The role of plantations in contributing to biodiversity
22nd February 2007 Chris Quine, Head of Ecology Division - Establishment Management Information System (EMIS); decision support for forest restocking
15th March 2007 Mike Perks, Forest Management Division - Remote sensing applications in forestry
26th April 2007 Juan Suarez, Biometrics Division, Forest Research.
