Urgent Conservation Management for Scottish Capercaillie
LIFE Project – Closing Conference 6th & 7th November 2006 What was the event?Day one of the conference highlighted the achievements of the project and the lessons learnt through the project, whilst day two considered “what next” and the future of Capercaillie in Scotland. There were field visits to project sites on both afternoons to look at some of the work carried out over the past five years. Information on the project. Forest Research involvment: - Chris Quine presented (on Day 1) an overview of the monitoring work undertaken by us and consider future opportunities;
- Roger Trout and Alice Broome contributed to discussions and field visits, and together with Liz Poulsom provided posters demonstrating further aspects of our work.
