Vanesa completed a Forestry Engineering degree at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain) and an MSc in Environmental Policy at Wageningen University (The Netherlands). Her previous experience included research into Environmental Policy in the European Union at the Institute of European Environmental Policy in London.

She joined Forest Research in March 2005. 

Current role

Research Engineer, Social and Economic Research Group, Environmental and Human Sciences Division, and EngD student at the Centre for Environmental Strategy, Surrey University.

Current programmes

RECOAL
Participating in the EC project RECOAL (INCO-WBC-1-509173) carrying out social research under the supervision of Claudia Carter to develop participatory solutions to coal ash disposal and pollution in the West Balkan area.
