Forest storm risk management in the North Sea region

STORMRISK logoSTORMRISK workshop

17th and 18th August 2006

What was the event?

The countries within the North Sea Region have been subject to forest wind damage throughout history. Experiences and expertise on how to reduce losses to windthrow in forest landscapes have developed differently in each country. The main aim of the STORMRISK project is to integrate and make accessible the knowledge and experience developed over decades to end-users in the North Sea Region.

This two day workshop was open to all individuals and groups involved or interested in forest storm risk management, and in particular focused towards organizations from the North Sea Region of the European Union.
