David Georghiou, BA
Webmaster, Communications GroupDavid obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Computer Systems from the University of Essex. He then worked in the IT sector for Data Sciences and IBM on a large number of projects for both government and commercial organisations in the UK and abroad. On those projects he performed roles covering the full life-cycle of IT system development ranging from requirements analysis and specification through design and architecting, programming, system and acceptance testing and end-user training. David joined Forest Research as Webmaster in 2002. Current roleWebmaster, Communications Group Responsibilities include: - Designing and managing this Forest Research website and satellite websites such as Yield models for the energy coppice of poplar and willow.
- Promoting awareness of Forest Research and its research programmes to science collaborators, land use policy makers and forestry sector organisations, via this and satellite websites.
- Developing Forest Research’s capacity to utilise internet technologies as communication tools.
- Promoting use of Forest Research’s web site and linkage with partner sites.
