Delivering improved timber quality: “In support of the Wales Woodland Strategy”

What was the event?

The Wales Woodland Strategy identifies quality timber as a key objective.  This seminar brought together the latest research information on:

  • Assessing and modelling the timber quality of conifers
  • The impact of silviculture, including transformation to continuous cover forestry, on log quality and wood properties
  • Selection and breeding of conifers and broadleaves for improved timber quality
  • Timber in construction
  • Innovative uses of timber.
