Ian Murgatroyd
Acting Head of Technical Development, Forest Management DivisionIan studied Forestry at Newton Rigg between 1982 and 1985. His operational experience was gained in Wales, England and Scotland working in District, Conservancy and Forest Research roles. He first came to Forest Research between 1992 and 2000 as a Technical Development Branch Forester and started his second tour as a Team Leader in Technical Development in 2004. Ian is currently on temporary promotion to Deputy Head of Technical Development and is responsible for all non woodfuel projects.
