- The volume of wood excluding the bark.
- Undercut
- Severing the taproots of seedling trees to promote growth of fibrous roots.
- Underplanting
- Planting a new crop below an existing crop with the intention that it will eventually succeed the older crop.
- Understorey
- Trees and/or shrubs below the canopy. See also Overstorey.
